About Us
Margot grew up in Southport, Connecticut, and after attending college as an Art History major in Washington, DC, she moved on to the New York School of Interior Design in 1978, to begin her life in design. She worked as a Sales Associate for the Dunbar Company and the McGuire Company in New York City, before heading to a position with Pamela Banker, Inc. She then founded her own Interior Design business.

She has been privileged to have worked for many years with clients up and down the East coast, and finds many to be downsizing to less cumbersome homes. She loves this stage in her life, helping those who had larger homes, find happiness in easier spaces.

Testimonials

"Margot is a pleasure to work with. I have worked with her for 10 years-in turning a brand new house into a comfortable home, and then onto updates and improvements ever since. She has been invaluable on countless projects big and small. Her good taste and experience in design and sourcing furnishing has spared me from going it alone. Her attention to detail in supervising tradesmen has been a particular godsend. For those of us short on time or patience to manage domestic projects it is comforting to know that it will turn out fine, because of Margot is on it."

"I have worked with Margot for close to 25 years and have found that she is a master at seeing the whole picture in any project.  She has a great eye for color and texture and finds creative solutions for problem areas.  We quickly became good friends and have had lots of fun and laughs over the years!"

"Margot guided my taste. She can now identify better what I will like than I can myself. She has a gift of understanding color before it’s gone on the wall or furniture. She will bring out furniture from New York, two and three times, until we get it just right. I recommend her all the time."
